District Governor visit

Arlie earned his MA from the U. of Iowa and his PhD from the U of Nebraska.  He then moved to Ada, OK in 1981 and taught Speech Communication for 29 years, serving as the department’s lead in Teacher Education.  He QUIT in 2010 so he could expand his life and devote more time to things like Rotary.

Arlie joined Rotary in 1992 and served his club as President in 2003-2004.  He has been active in his club and District 5770.  He helped organize the Ada High School Interact Club and the East Central University Rotaract Club and has served as the District Chair for both, as well as serving on the “4-Way Test Speech Contest” committee for a number of years.  He has been awarded the Rotarian of the Year twice from his club.  Arlie earned his Paul Harris Fellow in 1996, and is now a member of the Paul Harris Society.  In 2016 he was recognized by RI as a Major Donor.
