Another busy morning greeted Sooner Rotarians after a long holiday weekend. Read on for more!
June’s board meeting will be held with the 2011-2012 board at a
joint meeting on June 24th.
May birthdays were celebrated and Ellen Usry won a gift certificate
to Cheddar’s

A number of Sooner Rotarians traveled to New Orleans for the Rotary
International Convention. All had a great time and a lot of great information
informing the participants of the impact their club has on Rotary projects was
available. If you have a chance to attend an annual convention, do it! Next up
in 2011: Bangkok, Thailand, early May.
District 5770 won an award at the Rotary International Convention
for attendance per capita.
Glenda Thomas presented Paul Harris awards to Tonny Walden and Sandy
Tedder, who earned her plus one

You know it’s officially summer when the Sooner Rotarians make their
first invasion of Clear Bay Grill this Sunday, June 5th, 5:45 PM.

Today’s program featured Lieutenant Colonel Ty Bonner, US Army
Reserves and member of the Oklahoma City Grassroots Advisory board. To improve
the high school graduation rates of Oklahoma children, the US Army sponsored
the development of march2success.com.
This free website offers students and parents learning experiences to prepare
for high school graduation and higher education if desired. Only Internet
access is required.
