Operation School BellTM

Jonna introduced our speakers Lisa Burkhart and Jennifer Cook who shared about the Norman Assistance League's Operation School Bell program and other NAL programs. Lisa leads this year's School Bell effort, and Jennifer is in charge of buying the clothes. Here are slides that provide many of the details they presented. Note: volunteers are always needed to work in the store (inventory) and to shop with the 1800-2000 elementary, middle school and high school students each year. The experience is "heart-breaking" and "heart-warming."

Check out this recorded meeting and how this important program demonstrates how providing students with their own toothbrush, five outfits, socks and shoes, as well as backpacks and toiletry items makes a difference in their lives and our community.
