We Welcome our guest program our very own Judy Simpkins; After a 40-year career in municipal government, Judy Simpkins retired as City of Norman Municipal Court Clerk/Court Administrator. She was responsible for the administrative activities of the municipal court including compliance with court procedures, laws, regulations governing the court, the accountability of court documents, records, and budget and revenues. She also served as a member of the City of Norman Department Head management team. Judy was active in municipal court clerk’s association at the state level and lectured for the Oklahoma Municipal Court Clerk’s Association and Oklahoma Municipal Judges Association. She was the first recipient of the Anne Thompson Award in recognition of exceptional leadership and devoted service to municipal courts in Oklahoma. Her civic activities include serving Sooner Rotary Club as president and she has serving on the board of several community service organizations including Bridges and the Norman Regional Hospital Foundation. She is a graduate of Leadership Norman. She has a son, daughter and three grandsons and is active in First Christian Church where she has held many leadership positions in the congregation.
